BioVir's point of view, Drinking
Water as a test matrix is water
that has all ready been treated
and is ready for distribution (ie.
Finished Water). Typically,
this matrix has low concentrations
of organisms, low turbidity and
requires test methods which can
vary significantly from raw water
intended for drinking water.
Virtually
all of the organisms BioVir tests
for can be assayed from a finished
water, but some have methods
developed specifically for
it. In addition, certain
regulatory and reporting
requirements can come into play
when testing a finished drinking
water.
